“Stayed one night on road trip around south-west Scotland. Easy entry to property using key code. Room clean and well kept. Although no dedicated parking to problem with on street parking near the hotel. Great breakfast and staff helpful and friendly. Would stay again.”
“Nicole and Malcolm make Craigmount so special. Book themed bedrooms to reflect Wigtown, and a lovely sitting room to read or eatch TV. Our double bedded room with ensuite overlooked the garden. The room was quite compact, and made more so by our largish suitcases. If you have big bags, perhaps book a family room. All the rooms are accessible via stairs. The pre-ordered breakfast was freshly cooked and wonderful. Dinner options in town or nearby were limited, except to drive, especially mid-week.……
“A fabulous place to stay. Creetown is beautiful and the accommodation is friendly, safe, and spotlessly clean, as well as being very comfortable. It is also fantastic value. With a very comfy bed, great shower, free tea and coffee and a TV in the bedroom, this was a superb place in which to stay and unwind after a long day's travel. The manager is a lovely gentleman and was very helpful. I will look forward to staying here again soon

“The views from the hotel are amazing . The staff and very friendly , informative and helpful . Our room was very spacious with views over the fields (room 20.) Very clean and tidy .
Breakfast very good and sets you up for the day . Pre dinner cocktails sitting in the garden an added bonus . Dinner exceptional and in particular the curries !
Would highly recommend staying at Ernespie again .
Anyone travelling with children the neighbouring Ernespie Farm and play area is ideal .
Thank you……
“Fabulous golf course though tough. Staff excellent and very attentive, food excellent.
Building is a little tired in places but not enough to spoil our stay.”
“Owners were very friendly and helpful, little touches like home made muffins and lemon curd set places apart
Also I’m over 6ft and easily fit into the stand alone bath, great for relaxing the muscles after a day walking ”
“I was surprised that there was no car park, but the street parking was okay. My spacious room on the front was a bit too warm overnight (we are having unusally warm weather) so I had the window open.On Saturday night, people outside were noisy until 1.05am, but there was little noise from within the building. The staff were friendly and helpful. At breakfast the omelette was huge. ”
“Nice little place at a good price as we were going to The Open at Troon. No services in the village but next village has a great food pub and hotel that does decent pub Faye. when we visited the hotel bar and restaurant was closed for refurb but they did do a good breakfast”
“We needed some reasonably priced accommodation that could also take our dog. The Bunkhouse was a great option. Great to have a private room and bathroom. Only three rooms in total meant it was pretty quiet (although the internal doors do bang quite loudly).
The kitchen was fine, with a microwave for heating up food and plenty of crockery and utensils.
We had great communication from the manager in advance of our stay.”
“A beautiful hotel walking distance to the little township. The staff are incredibly helpful and polite. The food is amazing and good value for money. It is certainly worthwhile visiting this cute little town when on a road trip of the north.”
