“The beach was further away than what was described and the “road” was not an actual road. The amenities ended up being less than what was listed, there are no washers, no parking, wifi sucks, etc. the pool was not clean, the food remained the same every day. It’s far from the main road. Towels were never changed, sheets never changed, never sweeper or mopped the room and we stayed for a decent time. Depending on the room the appliances did not work which we didn’t find out until everything went……

“Great one night stay at Hotel Mato. Traditional old Greek house where the lady owner was so helpful and friendly. We had a room at the top of the house (up a spiral staircase) which had a spacious balcony with amazing views of the port. Lovely traditional Greek breakfast. The location is fantastic for Skiathos old town and the ferry port. Would recommend (as long as you like cats - she has tons them! ) ”

“A lovely small hotel, quiet location, a couple of blocks to the main pedestrian street, grocery store and bus stop. Very nice and helpful hotel managers. We would stay there again. ”

“1 min walk from Skiathos harbour bus stop.This hotel is just before you get to town & harbour.Everything is within easy walk- you can take harbourside walk into town or be adventurous and take back streets. Beaches 22 mins walk (google) although that is an average and we did it in about 15mins. Ramp & steps to hotel from street. Room was large and spacious with long balcony .Staff were Fantastic and breakfast was AMAZING! Rooftop pool with double loungers, pool towels supplied. This hotel allows……

“Avaton is a lovely small hotel about 20-25 minutes walk outside of Skiathos. Very convenient for bus stop and travel around the island. Clean hotel rooms With small bathroom. Good buffet breakfast.”

“It was beautiful and the staff were exceptionally helpful with activities and restaurant recommendations. The food was a little bland and seemed to be catered to a British palette. ”

“Siamo stati benissimo, lo staff molto gentile, il signor Leo parla benissimo italiano ed è stato davvero disponibile, ci ha accontentato in tutto. Ci hanno preso e riportato dall’aereoporto. Ottima colazione, molto vasta sia il dolce che il salato. Pulizie ottime e camera spaziosa. Inoltre ci hanno lasciato ogni giorno un sacchetto con dei panini per il pranzo. Consigliamo questa struttura!!”

“Great location! The property was clean, basic rooms but cleaned daily and towels and sheets changed regularly. Air con was a bonus. Pool area great for Skiathos town. Only downside for me was the bathroom a bit dark and could do with a revamp…shower screen instead of curtain. But wouldn’t put me off going back for sure! ”
