“The staff were friendly and helpful. Recommended a terrific restaurant and made the reservations! Also provided a boxed breakfast for an early train. The room was very nice and quiet. It is right by the ferry and near the walking path by the water. Would go back! Only downside is shortest walk from train station does not have sidewalks for most of it. ”

“An absolutely fantastic stay, directly adjacent to the ferry terminal, with excellent views over the lake, and a great breakfast. I like that Verbania is less full of tourists than Stresa, but still has a wonderful waterfront, great restaurants, etc.”

“Just spent three nights in this beautiful hotel, visually stunning with lovely gardens and a pool. It’s perfectly located for. 4 minute stroll into Stresa town centre for lots of bars and restaurants. You can catch a ferry to the Borromean Islands just in front of the hotel. Breakfast was awesome, lots of choice and a beautiful setting.”

“Hotel has a peaceful and beautiful lakeside property with direct access to Maggiore. It is generally very quiet and serene, but sometimes the loud motorcycles and cars can be heard well during the night. Other than that everything was good. I also highly recommend having your own car in the region for movement around the lake and surrounding regions. ”

“Friendly staff, but we did have two issues. On check in we provided passports etc, but then were expected to hand to a porter as the receptionist had not been able to complete info successfully the first time. Upon check out we were asked to pay for the booking as well as the city tax, when we had already paid the booking online. The hotel is clean but dated by British standards. It’s very pleasant but like stepping into an upper class 80s hotel with all the swags and tails of Laura Ashley! ”
