“A cozy cabin in the woods, only a brief walk away from the lake, and a comfortable fit for our family of 5. Very well stocked kitchen - we were able to cook all our meals easily. We especially enjoyed the screened-in porch and the swimming area and kayaks that were available for guest use. “We stayed at the”Blackhaus” January 19-23. The house was perfect for our 3 teenage boys and my wife and I. It is a bit off the road which offers serenity and peace. The house is well appointed and met all of our needs. It is located just about 8 minutes from whiteface ski resort and about 22 minutes to lake placid. I Will definitely stay here again. ”

“Property is just as described. Was in a perfect location between Whiteface and Lake Placid. My boyfriend and son loved being able to fish right behind the house (trail is steep but well marked). The hot tub was amazing! The little supermarket is definitely little so if you’re arriving later at night I would recommend brining any food stuff you may need for the next morning with you (coffee!). Wonderful weekend would definitely stay again!”
