“We stayed here as our son was competing in the Lake Placid Ironman. This location was perfect. Short drive to Lake Placid. The property was exactly as described and even better in person. It's cute and cozy. The Jay area is beautiful and would love to come back and hike in the area, as the cabin is close to many trail heads(short drive, under 15 minutes) Shannon's communication was outstanding! I had questions regarding the property as well as requested recommendations for restaurant's. ……

(The grill was also in excellent condition) From the well kept firepit to the comfy beds, this A Frame had the perfect combination to help us wind down after our hikes. ”

“Kathy's Cabin on the lake was the perfect getaway for our family. The cabin is cozy, rustic, and familial. We played games, grilled, watched the action on the lake from the boat house. What a location! The view from the property and from the boat house porch is beautiful - lake, mountains, islands. We brought our boat and were able to dock it at the cabin which made each days' excursions so easy! Kathy is very accommodating and welcoming. She made check in very easy, she is communicative and a……

“This cabin was tucked away from the main road, giving a good balance of privacy and easy accessibility to lots of hiking options. Check in was super easy, the kitchen was easy to cook in, and while small, the shower offered great water pressure from its wide shower head. The deck was great for doing yoga on and the washer/dryer was convenient. We loved getting ice cream from the place down the street!”

“Great cabin, very responsive and kind hosts, great location. We stayed for a long weekend with two little kids- great location for hiking and sight seeing. The kids loved the hot tub and loft area. The only suggestion I would have for families with kids is to bring a gate, the stairs are steep. Otherwise we had a great time. Will definitely re-book!”
