“We stayed with our dog for a few days. The place is simple and neat. The neighborhood was quiet. We went skiing one day at Whiteface which is about a 25 minute drive because you have to drive so far into the residential development. The place doesn't have a lot of extras - like a big screen tv or bluetooth speaker but that wasn't an issue for us. The place was clean but not luxury. But, the price reflects that appropriately. We would stay here again. ”

“It’s a quaint cabin in Jay, New York. Perfect stay if planning to do some traveling/adventuring. The cabin was very clean and the owner was very informative about the whole process. Be aware that there is not great cell reception in the area, but the owner provides wifi.”

“We had a very nice relaxing stay. The cabin was above what we expected. Loved the hot tub. Host was very prompt at getting back to us with any questions we had. Def will be staying here again. ”

“My husband and 8-month-old stayed here for two nights in February and though it was very cold and snowy, we were cozy and warm at this cabin on lake flower. We especially appreciated the use of the hot tub, which was cleaned before our stay. Our host met us when we checked in, even though we arrived late, and made sure that we found everything we needed. “Liked the location, close to Saranac Lake and Lake Placid. Cabin was cozy and warm with snow shoeing trails nearby. Hosts were responsive and friendly. Didn’t like the bathroom faucet, had to hold handle in order to get water, needs updating. Felt kitchen was lacking a few amenities that all other places have provided (toaster, salt and pepper). ”

“The house was a little smaller than I expected but easily accommodated all 8 of us. Everything we needed was there and house rules/instructions were clear. I gave 4 stars because the shower handle in the master broke the second day. The owner clearly stated that it was difficult and I guess it finally broke. We managed with all of us just more shower planning. All in all it was a nice place to stay. ”

“Everything needed was provided close to whiteface and great restaurants nearby. The cabin was in a nice spot was clean and everything worked as it should. The stairway to river would have been even better in warmer weather.”

“This rental was our "home base" during a ski trip to Whiteface (only a few minute drive from the mountain). Everything about this property is well thought out and makes you feel like you're at "home away from home." Owners were available to answer questions beforehand and even popped over during our stay when we had an issue with one of the circuit breakers. Would give more than 5 stars if I could! My entire family loved it and can't wait to return! Still talking about it a month later!”

“This place was perfect for our ski and snowboard trip to Whiteface. Close to the mountain for us to get in early. We used each room and all my friends were very comfortable. Even the two adult men that had to share the small cabin had no complaints. The sauna and hot tub were perfect for us to recover our exhausted bodies from full day of shredding the mountain. The foosball table was a hit. The large dinner table fit our whole crew. The heated floors were a delightful surprise and perfect for……

“This was the first stay at the Cabins at Colby Lake for myself and a group of friends. I rented the Moose Cabin and loved it! I heard about this place from good friends who had stayed here a couple of years ago. We got in Thursday night for a 4 night stay, with skiing, Carnival fun in Saranac with the Parade, live music, the ice castle, and fireworks. We had camp fires lake side at night and wrapped the weekend with a Superbowl party! All in all a great winter trip. Would love to come back in……

“We had a wonderful stay at Skylight. While it was snowing pretty steadily when we arrived, the walkway was shoveled and we had immediate contact from Jason to help us park in the right place since the snowbanks hid all the signs! The cabin was perfect for us and our two boys, ages 4 and 7. We all cuddled in the loft for a movie on the “magic tv” Saturday night after watching the Winter Carnival fireworks from the dock (it was too cold to haul the boys into town). “Very cozy cabin. Bathroom perhaps a bit TOO cozy. Which means it was lovely, but very small. Many stubbed toes on the shower lip, but I concede that not much could be done about that. There were a few cobwebs in the rafters, some sawdust on the top of the bathroom mirror, but overall lovely. ”

“Brookside is Our favorite property to rent in Lake Placid. It’s absolutely beautiful, cozy and well appointed. Kitchen is spacious & very user friendly for cooking meals, had everything we needed. “It was everything that was described. Beautiful cabin and property. Not ideal for hauling a boat or parking one. The shower was cool but so was the water or to hot. But overall a great place and would go back again. There is very little cell service which i liked but was in return hard to communicate with owner's and the tournament staff for the bass tournament we were fishing. But that was also in the ad for cabin. A get away for a couple or a family id rate it a 10 out of 10. For hunting id……

“A adorable, cozy cottage perfect for a quiet get away. It takes about 10-15 minutes to walk into town with great views of the lake. Lots of hiking and outdoor activities within a short drive. ”

“We really enjoyed our stay at this property!!! The location is absolutely fantastic as it’s close to the slopes and within walking distance of some beautiful hiking trails. The house was very clean and had great amenities including king-sized beds, nice linens, a sauna and a yard that our dogs really enjoyed. We highly recommend this property!!!!”
