“Extremely quiet and peaceful. Surrounded by farmland and close to Seneca lake. One of the beds is a foam mattress to put on the floor. You’ll have to cover the motion detector light if you want to sleep.”

“Staff was amazing, and communication during and after booking was excellent. The building (built in 1830) was excellently maintained, and furnishings/decor struck the perfect balance between period and modern. The included breakfast was cooked and served in the upstairs dining room (former ballroom/meeting room). Parking was adequate and on site. The surrounding area was convenient and remote enough to be quiet, yet near necessities. The on site pub had excellent food and was reasonably……

“Close to town but quiet and relaxing. Pool, gazebo and some rockers outside your door for enjoying. Danish type things and coffee are only options. Fine for us. Beds were great.”

After reading the reviews I booked The Benjamin and it didn't disappoint. It was a well maintained boutique hotel and nicely centralized for everything in the area. We're hoping to spend more time in Watkins Glen in the future and we'll definitely be staying here.”
