“The hotel has 4 floors and is equipped with a lift.
Each floor has a shared bathroom and toilet, with around 12 people sharing one bathroom.
The rooms are equipped with air-conditioning.
The hostel is located about a 20-minute walk from the main attraction. While it’s not very close, it is near a tram station.
I would describe it as a self-service hostel. There are usually no staff at the reception.
Officially, the reception operates from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, but it’s rare to see anyone……
“We loved our stay at this hotel! The room was a bit small with two large suitcases but that was the only con. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom spacious, the room and common areas were beautiful, and the location was perfect. The staff were all lovely! We were especially grateful that the hotel made us breakfast to go when we had an early morning departure on the day we were checking out. Highly recommend if you're going to Zagreb!”
“I thoroughly enjoyed my recent stay at LOOX Boutique Apartments Gundulićeva. The apartment was clean, quiet, and felt very safe—an ideal base just a short walk from the city centre and close to shops, restaurants, and Zagreb’s main attractions.
The room was exceptionally well-equipped: a comfortable double bed, plenty of power sockets including USB ports, a Smart TV, air conditioning, and a modern kitchenette with a fridge—perfect for keeping drinks cool. There was also a safe for valuables,……
“Pros: Nice and super helpful staff, great breakfast with plenty of choices, advanced system for the room (do not disturb, call for housekeeping, etc.), great location with walking distance to most of tourist spots and a lot of restaurants and shopping centre nearby, nice view of the main street
Cons:
1. Design of rectangular wash basin and water closet are less user friendly than the round one in other hotel, and easy to trap the water at the corner side of wash basin
2. There are a few dirt……
“Hotel is conviviently located.Quiet and boutiqueish hotel. Counter is most helpful in giving direction and information.Recommandable hotel to you all.”
“It is a low profile boutique type of accommodation. Secluded and almost hidden but centrally located. Very comfortable quiet and peaceful. The top floor restaurant is elegant and offers an excellent semi buffet breakfast with an a la carte menu of warm dishes. ”
“This was a charming studio that was well equipped and had a very firm but surprisingly comfortable bed. The tram runs right past the apartment but didn't keep us awake. It's an easy walk to restaurants and shopping and old town. Highly recommend it and Ivana is lovely and easy to work with as a host. ”
“Good decoration for a historical building and location is convenient as it’s in a downtown. Nice staff and good breakfast. Suggest to ask and get the map of parking area as it’s quite remote to the hotel. ”
“Hotel Republika was a terrific option for my family. It is rare in a city to have a boutique hotel experience, complete with parking, that remains a short walk to the main attractions of the area. The space was large and well designed, and even had two bathrooms for a two-bedroom unit. Perfect combination of quiet/peaceful space to use as a home base, but close enough to walk to the heart of the city.”

Check-out time is 3:00 PM, which is outside their business hours.
You can store your luggage both before check-in and after check-out.
In terms of facilities, the hostel is good, but don’t expect much support during your stay."
