“Enjoyable stay. A bit disappointing on arrival that a small fridge we had asked for was not present, and there were only towels for only one person in the room, This was however soon rectified by Freya from Reception, who was a real gem. Good dinner and excellent breakfasst”

“Tucked away, this farmhouse is just superb! Our room was spotlessly clean, the bed was very comfy and the shower was the most powerful I’ve ever enjoyed! Kirsty and Neil are good hosts, ready to offer recommendations if asked, but will leave you to yourselves if you prefer. They keep pigs and chickens, which we were lucky enough to feed, and I can report that the sausages, bacon & eggs at breakfast were very tasty! Added bonus of homemade cakes left out, delicious! Thanks Kirsty & Neil”

“A pub with rooms does NOT cover the Cornish Arms - it is very friendly, good atmosphere and location, but the rooms are spotlessly clean, very comfortable and very good value for money. Great facilities, great food, great staff. We will certainly stay here again!”

“If you are looking to stay in a traditional English Pub, this is the place. Cozy rooms with great washroom facilities. Very clean and comfortable beds. Rooms are equipped with electricity outlets, wifi and tv for those needing it. The pub itself is fantastic with a very well stocked bar. The restaurant serves home cooked meals with a great selection of local produce. From this location you are pretty central to either coast and Dartmoor itself. The staff are very friendly and have a great local……

“We booked a family suite which is lovely - very modern and tastefully decorated. A lovely tea/coffee area and bottles of water weee supplied. Both bedrooms have patio doors opening out onto outside area. The views are amazing and it is just so peaceful and quiet. Breakfast was amazing - THE BEST bacon!! Would highly recommend this place - ideal for walkers. ”

“Kind and lovely people, lovely chat and they really cared. Very much a spare room in the end of their house with a it’s own bathroom so very homely. Breakfast room was a breakfast room with lots of stuff and a cat (I loved the cat). It’s down a very rough and rocky track in the car. Basically it’s an authentic working farm with some lovely farmers who make a solid breakfast. I’d be back. If you are looking for a polished hotel experience this isn’t for you but for a real life nice people……
