“There was a calm, genteel feel to the hotel and grounds, a sense of grandeur past. The staff were helpful and polite. The grounds were lovely and we enjoyed having a leisurely breakfast in the gardens. It would have been good to have some help taking heavy bags up the stone stairs as there did not seem to be a lift/elevator.”

If you choose the hotel because it has a fitness room, please pay attention that the fitness room is only open from 9 to 20 and must be booked in advance, I wanted to go at 18.30 and it was fully booked. For business travellers it would be better if the fitness room opens earlier in the morning. ”

“This is a renovated old building with eclectic decorations. The hotel was updated, but it almost felt like a 19th century guest house. The breakfast was delicious, and the courtyard where it was offered was wonderful. You can use it at other times to sit in the open air if you choose. There is a bus stop less than 5 minutes away, making it very easy to maneuver with public transportation. The garage, which we very much appreciated, was a bit of a maneuvering challenge for a medium sized car but……
