“My husband had to work in Galveston and this was perfect for him. It was only a 5 minute drive to the office. I tagged along. Place was well kept and clean. Walls are thin but it is an old home and you can hear everything outside. The evenings were pretty much quite though you could hear a dog barking nearby and construction across the street by 8 o'clock a.m. They're building a new high school. I was able to sleep in a little on Sunday since there was no construction and the dog didn't……

“We were thrilled with the house, beautifully decorated with everything you need for a relaxing, restful stay hanging out by the pool within walking distance of some cute restaurants. Turn the Victrola on with some of the records there and you’re taken back to an earlier, simpler time! Will definitely plan to be back!”

“Got to house late and code did not work. Door unit was just “screaming” and flashing red. Could not figure out how to get ahold of anyone for a while. All numbers were Vrbo contacts and it was after hours and no one was monitoring. Finally found another number listed deep and the manager finally answered. We had to go find the hidden key and use the back door all weekend. Backyard was kinda trashy. Otherwise, the house was good inside. Huge kitchen space! Convenient location to everything. Minor……

“Air conditioning was amazing and kept up well with an extremely hot Texas week. Game tables were very fun and appliances worked well. The house met our basic needs. Host was very responsive when a bed was missing. Room for (sometimes major) improvements: -Had to ask for access to house even after check in time. Thankfully, host responded within 15 minutes. -The flooring is coming up in multiple places. Really pretty dangerous. -While house sleeps 8, there are not enough place settings or……
