“Quick 4 day trip to Mammoth Cave area with my spouse and best friend from the Army. Great location although a bit close to the road for the paper thin “soundproofing”. Road noise doesn’t bother me much but shared wall neighbors and “thin walls” is a nightmare. Not only is it annoying hearing them but I feel super awkward the entire time trying to be quiet knowing they can hear us and that’s not an enjoyable way to spend vacation time. “We drove over from Knoxville to enjoy Mammoth Cave for the weekend. Todd is a very communicative host! He informed me that Wanderlust (our original reservation) had roof damage but their adjacent unit (listed as “Quiet Apartment” in Brownsville) was available. The “Quiet Apartment” (also called Hickory and Bee) was lovely and we were thankful for the option to stay there.Mammoth Cave Visitor’s Center is about 20 minutes away and there are so many tour options, make sure to book ahead! “Staying here was very enjoyable while we were in the area for a work trip. It was clean and cozy and had full kitchen to use. This had one room with a King Bed and one with a Queen, that was not an issue for us being there was only two of us and we each had a bedroom. ”
