“We had two adults, two teens and one very active dog. Guess who was NOT thrilled with the no-plumbing no-electricity situation?!? But that’s the point- reconnect with nature and slow down. We even got them off their phones for a while. (Although internet is strong! Totally remote workable) The island is beautiful and serene and clean. “Please listen closely!! If you pass this place up, I truly feel sorry for you. I am on a first time adventure to Maine from Indiana and this is my FAVORITE place stay of ALL TIME. I wish I had done my homework and planned more time at Desert of Maine. Our cabin was cozy after a nice evening by the fire. Loved the shower!!
