“Great Room ”

“I wish that I would have taken more pictures because as a part time history buff, I loved this place. We don't usually "bed n breakfast" but I was overwhelmed with the generosity of the owners and the loveliness of their home. They have certainly put their own hearts into this wonderful BnB. Keep up the great work!”

“This hotel was on the Main Street, close to everything you’d like to see. If I had a complaint it would be parking. They give you a card/passcode for a lot 2-3 blocks away and there is no shuttle. It was snowing and/or raining the whole stay so it was inconvenient. Very quiet, breakfast above average however they did run out of things with an hour and a half left of service. Shower water temperature was warm at best, couldn’t get a good hot shower. ”

“Absolutely love the new remodel!!! The color scheme is very calming and just makes you feel relaxed! The free breakfast is nothing to brag about. I seriously expected better from a Hampton ,and OMG the breakfast area is so cramped!! The area they call the " bakery " area cosists of these little triangle looking things( scones? Maybe. Size of a quarter and saw dust dry!! Horrible. ) And the strangest thing? No orange juice?! No yogurt and only apples. Hopefully since we talked with some of the……

“We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Spearfish Canyon Lodge. Our Calamity Jane suite was spacious and wonderfully decorated. The spectacular lobby with soaring ceilings made for a lovely spot to relax. The front deck overlooking the excellent Latchstring restaurant and canyon was icing on the cake. Very dog friendly with well-behaved dogs joining fellow travelers. Our favorite stay during a Black Hills vacation. ”

“This is a perfectly clean and safe place to stay. The staff was not especially helpful; they practically chased us out of breakfast, which ended at 9 rather than 9:30 at most similar motels. The food was fine. The building just looks tired and in need of attention. The heat/AC fan ran all the time, even though it was on auto setting, and the refrigerator was so noisy that it kept us awake. ”
