“Host was proactive in communicating about accessing the space and answered quickly when we were trying to locate the house (a little confusing since the driveway was full and the house number was hard to locate). “FRAUD. THIS PLACE IS A HOUSE. DOES NOT REPRESENT WHAT IS PICTURED ON YOUR SITE IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM. IT ISN'T A HOTEL. IT IS A HOUSE IN A RESIDENTIAL AREA. CAN'T GET AHOLD OF OWNER. VM IS FULL PROBABLY WITH COMPLAINTS AND HOTELS.COM SUCKS AT REFUNDING CUSTOMERS WHO WERE LED TO THIS PLACE ONLY TO FIND IT DOESN'T IN ANY WAY REFLECT WHAT IS ON HOTELS.COM. “We loved our stay at this private, cozy guesthouse in Lafayette! The location was perfect—just a short walk to great restaurants and shops in Old Town. The neighborhood was quiet and charming, which made it feel like a true retreat. I stayed with a friend; she had the bedroom, and I took the sofa bed, which was surprisingly comfortable! The space is decorated in such a cute and thoughtful way, and it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Would absolutely stay here again!”

“1st VRBO experience. Everything was great except for the very steep stairs up to the carriage house. Not good for the mobility-challenged which we both are. Loved the many windows in the unit and the breezes coming through made sleeping enjoyable. ”

“The hosts where ver accommodating and polite. The basement apartment is clean, decorated well, and comfortable.”

“It will be cheaper and you won't be creeped out by by the neighborhood. How? people yelling, trashbags piled up, looked like half the neighborhood was moving in or out, glared at like i spat on them. Maybe it's fine, maybe i'm just from the country, but my brother and i didn't feel safe leaving the rental cars there. Tried to contact the owner to shorten our stay (not to zero, though i was going to try to lowball) and the phone number doesn't even ring. Emails only get a pre-generated response.……

“I'm giving this property 5 stars because the pictures and descriptions were accurate. Having said that i must warn travelers that the host likes to cook with Indian spices that are very strong and aromatic that last all night. They have kids that like to run and you hear every step. Finally beware that you are in a basement apartment and you ONLY have air tv. You will have internet, but NO cable or streaming services. We were looking forward to relaxing and watching march madness, but with the……
