“Great off the beaten path location for exploring the Sol de Mayo Waterfall and the surrounding Sierra de la Laguna mountain range near the small town of Santiago. We really enjoyed the hike to the waterfall and exploring the Cañon de la Zorra (Fox Canyon) above the falls. The accommodations weren't fancy, but we did enjoy the peace and tranquility of the desert landscape and the beautiful oasis tucked away amid the arid canyon. “Rancho BV is so wonderful! It is one of the oldest properties in Baja! Staff is so kind and helpful — Arturo is MVP! He always had answers to any questions we had, even helped us secure a car to drive around town (his own!). The property is “tired” but very clean and well kept. The “coffee time” restaurant was super cute and delicious (we only had coffee and breakfast, but saw others dining and it looked wonderful, too). The pool and bar is literally right on the beach, so even if the ocean was……
