“This location was exactly as discribed. It was cozy and comfortable. Private, quiet and in a safe neighborhood. Pool was clean and right outside the door! Shower was very small and probably not handicap accessible. But the water was hot and there was a great showerhead (2 of them).Bed was soft and comfortable. Plenty of extra blankets, pillows and towels. There is surprising amount of storage for an old house. Thanks for breakfast, that was a nice touch. ”

“We were looking for an apartment-type rental for 3 weeks in the Ocala area and the Downtown Retreats fit the bill. The apartment was sufficiently spacious and comfortable and stocked with the basics for our stay. We never heard noise from the other units, but you are near two hospitals and a nursing home so there were sirens, but not loud enough to be a bother. If it weren’t for some very kind people that lived off the main road, we would have abandoned our stay. There was no cell service so we lost our ability to use GPS and we couldn’t message the host to get better directions.
