“Overall a good experience. Our room was upgraded to a junior suite upon arrival which was a nice touch however a night there was a lot of noise until late as well as early in the morning. I’m not sure if this was due to location of the room (being on first floor and above the dining room/kitchen). It was difficult to sleep, especially if you’re a light sleeper.”

“We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful hotel. Everything available on site, but also very easy walking distance to Funchal centre. All of the staff were extremely helpful & friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The food was wonderful & breakfast was a delicious choice of fresh & cooked food. We would highly recommend this hotel & will definitely be back. It was my partners birthday while we were in Madeira & despite us not announcing this in any way, he was presented with a birthday……

“We loved our stay at this beautiful hotel in Ponta Do Sol. Felt like a resort! Gorgeous grounds, pool and spa. Many spaces to sit and enjoy a drink. The views are exceptional throughout the hotel. Breakfast was amazing and offered a great variety. We highly recommend a stay here if visiting PDS”

“The hotel is very close to the city, therefore you have some traffic noise. But the distance is of course also nice - just view steps and you enter the city center!”
