“This rental house was as pictured. It was clean, it was lake adjacent, it housed my family adequately. There was nothing special about this unit that justified its cost. After fees were included--one of which was a very high cleaning fee that came in addition to cleaning tasks we were required to do--there was nothing about this cabin that justified how high the rental price was. What you see is (mostly) what you get. The main photo shows the lake, it doesn't show you that this house is set back……

“This was a perfect location for our family to meet with friends from out of town. The house has a luxurious cabin feel, and there are plenty of spaces for people to spread out and play games or talk. The kitchen is incredibly well stocked, which made it easy for us to cook up some favorite meals. The property manager was friendly and responsive to questions we had. The floors could have been cleaner when we arrived, and I'm sure they would have taken care of that if we'd contacted them about it,……

“This home was easy to find, check in and access. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was small so room to get ready for a big event would have to be managed but the shower was nice and the water hot. It is near restaurants and shops. Our only complaint was the road noise was very loud at night. We stayed over SIU graduation weekend.”

“The house was great and conveniently located 2 lots away from the wedding venue. Roomy enough for 2 adults, 18yo, 17yo, 13yo. The owners were gracious enough to let us check in early to change prior to the wedding. ”

“Our family stayed at this lakefront property for a short weekend getaway to do some hiking near Garden of the Gods. The property was clean and spacious with plenty of activities for the kids and room for everyone to have their own privacy as well. Would recommend this place for small groups or families! ”

“We had a blast at this comfortable home. We didn’t so much but lounge around, playing games and eating. The kitchen was well stocked and we never felt like we didn’t have anything we needed. The bath towels were luxurious and not those thin towels hotels use. Would have liked a softer lamp or something in the living room as the only light came from the overhead ceiling fans. I can see where this place would be great for a summer vacation!”

“We booked a long weekend here for my dad’s 70th birthday and couldn’t have asked for a better stay! The home has been nicely updated but still contained plenty of original touches that have it character. The outside space was great! We spent a lot of time on the deck, used the grill and fire pit, and of course the lake! We were very impressed with all of the lake toys the shed offered, especially the kayaks. The inside was set up perfectly for our group and our teenager appreciated her own space……
