“What a beautiful location. When my wife and i woke up in the morning, we watched the sunrise over the Dales. The same for breakfast as the dining room has ceiling high windows overlooking the cows and sheep grazing in the fields. The rooms are nice, clean, and quiet, and the beds are comfy. We quickly became friends with some of the other guests. The bottom line is that we had a wonderful time there. We highly recommend Throstle Nest Farm. ”

“A one night birthday trip. Staff are welcoming and attentive without being intrusive. Room comfortable if a little small. Room was very warm but solved by turning off the heat and opening the window. My only recommendation would be for the waiting staff to bring out the required knives for meals. Had soup and a roll with whipped butter but no knife to spread butter, also had steak again no steak knife. Both had to be requested. Small details like this are unimportant but would make things more……

“Hotel was small and compact. Everything about it was great. The breakfast chef made the effort to get to know our breakfast order and was able to remember this throughout our stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Bathroom was compact but contained everything we needed. The pub was lovely and welcoming.”

“Amazing. Right from the start the staff were friendly, polite and welcoming. Food was delicious - we ate at the hotel for dinner - having the 'pigs' in blanket sharing starter and then both steak pies. Next morning - breakfast was great - although there was no 'bacon' for us - the server compensated by offering us additional sausages - so it wasn't too much of a disappointment. ”

“Weekend break in this property. It was very modern. Tastefully decorated and all the things you need for a nice stay. The only issue was noise from other guests coming and going in the early hours but out of the control of the owners ”

“Positives: Comfy bed Fridge in room Yorkshire tea and Grandma Wilds biscuits in room replenished daily Hosts were friendly and offered advice on local area 5-min walk to train or bus station Close to shops, pubs, restaurants Negatives: No window in bathroom and extractor fan and a bit noisy Shower took a few minutes to warm up If you like to sleep with the window open the road outside is quite busy Entrance hallway was a bit smelly Overall, good value for money. Would stay here again.”

“We loved the area and the hospitality shown to us If I wanted to have a moan it would be the two velux s in the room both have a terrible draught at the top And if it was me I would put a small drinks fridge in the room for milk and water and maybe a kettle which is not connected to the plug save carrying the whole thing down for water Very minor things but would definitely improve the room We loved our stay immensely ”
