“The Sand Bar Cottage is the best place to stay in Bar Harbor! Arrive, unload, and stay parked while you walk and enjoy all that Bar Harbor & Acadia has to offer. Not worrying over finding parking was the greatest perk, but the entire property was beautiful with blooming flowers and the staff were all extremely helpful and hospitable. Our cottage was absolutely perfect. ”

My only regret was not being able to stay longer. The inn is beautiful and WOW on the location and stunning views. The food was thoughtfully prepared with each guest and their needs in mind. “First time bed and breakfast stay and it was amazing! Christi and Matt were so welcoming and had some recommendations to give us which was very helpful. The view is absolutely beautiful! Our room was perfect - had a comfy king bed with an updated bathroom, including an amazing shower. Multiple options for breakfast that Chrisi whips up and it was delish! Will definitely be back!!”

Location was great for us because we like quiet but still close enough for us to get to Acadia and town. And to top of off, our hosts Anna and Jim gave us great information and the breakfasts were just outstanding. ”

“The property is rustic but nice. There is a bathroom with shower on 1st and 2nd floor but the water pressure in the house does not sustain use of both at the same time. The main kitchen refrigerator was not working during our stay. There are minifridges on the 2nd and 3rd floor but it would have been nice to have working main floor fridge.”
