“We stayed for just on night. The cabin was nice, it's a nice old cabin, floors were squeaky and loud, but I guess that added to the charm. The only complaint is the twin beds were as hard as a rock, felt like laying on plywood. Seeing the devastation in the area was also heartbreaking. The location was perfect for us to enjoy our family in Grassy Creek.”

“We had a wonderful stay. A quick 3 night stay after picking up our daughter at Virginia Tech. It was the perfect size for my family of 5. Even though the lake water was cold, it didn’t stop us from having our cold plunge or getting the kayak out. The hot tub easily took the chill away. The house had a wonderful view of the lake. It was very clean and the beds were quite comfortable. We would highly recommend staying here. ”

“Great location. Went up to visit family. While speaking with host, he called to check in with us to see how things were going, I mentioned we were building a large fence enclosure. Host offered to lend us an Auger to drill the post holes. It saved us about 300 in rental fees. Very nice of them. ”

“The home is a decent distance off the highway but the scenery you'll see while driving to it are gorgeous. On the first day, we saw 3 deer and 2 rabbits! The driveway is very steep and made of gravel, so keep that in mind when choosing what vehicle to bring. If it has been raining, your tires may slip a bit going up.
