“We had the pleasure of staying in the Pleasure Lake Retreat House. The home is situated on a small lake and has everything a group could ask for to keep entertained. It comfortably slept six people with room and beds to spare. There is a pool table, dart board, ping pong table, fishing poles, basketballs and a hoop and board games. We never got bored and would love to come back on our next visit to the area.”

“The Depot is an amazing quaint and charming gem in the heart of Amherst. The property is newly renovated and very clean and peaceful. The owner is very easy to communicate with and very accommodating. If you need to stay in Amherst this is the place to stay! Every little detail from the furnishing to the surroundings is excellent. Would highly recommend!”

“Everything was very clean, very comfortable. We saw 3 deer in the back yard when we arrived and again the next morning and afternoon. Sunday morning a cardinal visited the bird feeder in the front yard. ”

There is coffee, tea, sugar. 3 families rested, there were 7 children and 6 adults. Everyone was satisfied and happy. We will be happy to return here again for a vacation. How ever, while was listed partly correctly as being on the wolf River, it was not mentioned that the location is on a swampy Bayou portion of the wolf River. You can't swim in it. I had rented this particularly for swimming in the wolf River and was disappointed. ”
