“We felt so fortunate to stay at the Gage Mansion while in central Pennsylvania for our son's recent Penn State graduation. While the inn is a 45 minute car ride from campus (and full disclosure: a really hilly, windy one at that), like many PSU parents we found ourselves looking for alternatives miles from campus as State College has a well-known shortage of hotel beds for its big weekends. Innkeeper Nancy is SO lovely. Besides being a wonderful cook and attentive host, she went out of her way……

“We came for a graduation. We were 25 miles from the university and it was not a bad drive. The area is beautiful. The staff was very friendly and personable. ”

“While the room was clean…the curtains were old and crumbling apart. Only one elevator worked. They were rationing coffee cups. This property appears to have just changed hands.”

“Fantastic stay start to finish. They only hold $20 for incidentals. The staff were all friendly. My room was clean. They explained housekeeping policies to me. The included breakfast was incredible. 100% recommend this hotel!”

“Great property and great value. Stay here with my husband and my dog. It was clean and quiet. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great. Good breakfast from 6 to 930. Furniture was a little rundown, but that just doesn’t really matter to me. And there was a Planet Fitness right behind the building and a Perkins in front, along with many other shopping options”
