“We take an annual trip to the Penobscot to fish. This cabin looked perfect with access from a small stream. It’s kind of small, three people means somebody is on the couch or in a tent. Beautiful post and beam and the property is very well cared for.We only had two problems.First, you can’t tell from the description, but the stream is 75’ down a steep little path. Consider that if you plan on launching any kayaks or canoes. You have to get them back up the hill. We needed a truck and a long……

We also enjoyed sitting on the wraparound porch where there is a nice breeze coming off of the other lake across the street. The kitchen is recently renovated and the bedrooms are nice and cozy. “The perfect place to find peaceful days and nights. It is very quiet. Swimming, kayaking, basking in the sun. At night we had camp fires, cooked our meals on the grill, played board games. An old fashioned camp stay that took me back to my childhood memories of simply living in the moment. Fishing was one of my highlights. Never caught a thing and I didn’t care; I was fishing. “This place was on a dirt road with lake access, but Brad gave us great directions. This would be a great place to getaway and leave all the distractions behind. One of 2 new cabins on the lot. Super nice inside.”

“The cabin was perfect- tastefully decorated and clean just as in the listing. The owner was super friendly as were his dogs. Nice and quiet. We found engaging museums and charming restaurants, and hiking in the area. We were happy to find a place where we could bring our dog with us.”

“This place is set near one end of a lovely lake. We stayed there on a rainy weekend so it was time spent largely indoors. The kitchen was functional and well equipped. The downsides were that overall the lighting in the place was poor. Perhaps not a dealbreaker in the summer, but definitely a downer in inclement weather and shorter fall days. Kitchen light fixures were burnt out. Property management came and fixed one. The other one over the kitchen sink needed replacing and that didn't……

“My stay was lovely. The cabin was peaceful and had all we needed to enjoy our time there. Despite the downsides, I'd totally book again. The location was private. The pond was calm with few boats. Loved having the porch swings, picnic table, and outdoor hearth. Walmart & hannaford were 15 minutes away to get the forgotten odds and ends. I had excellent phone service.
