“This was a really nice unit. Not on the water, but within a few minutes drive time to Houghton Lake, and 20 minutes to Higgins Lake. Lots of beautiful trails, boat launches, and public parks. Located on a quiet street, close to stores and restaurants. Would stay here again. The host was more than accommodating, and made sure every need was met. The house is well equipped, even down to a crate for your dog. The washing machine and dryer were an added bonus!”

“Our stay at the Sasquatch Cottage was excellent. The décor was creative and full of character, with fun Sasquatch touches throughout. My daughter especially enjoyed the swing out front, and the fire pit—with plenty of wood provided—made for relaxing evenings. The location was ideal, close to the Leota trails and with easy access to the lake. A stylish, cozy retreat that made for a memorable getaway.”

“The place was very quiet, relaxing, private and great view. The manager Georgia was very helpful. The cell phone reception was disappointing, but have Dish cable was great. Would recommend. ”

“This house had great views of the lake, beautiful and peaceful. You can fish right off the dock and catch a variety of fish. The beach was somewhat shallow but it got deep enough for swimming which was perfect for our 6 year old. Hosts were very helpful and responded immediately to any questions we had. We definitely plan on staying here again.”

“Very nice property with everything you need for a fun family vacation… except a TV. But that was a bonus! We secretly brought a TV and never told anyone. This lead to everyone spending quality family time together. We had a large group and everyone had plenty of room to sleep. Hosts were very responsive and attentive to the questions we had throughout the weekend. Looking at next year’s calendar to see about returning with our group plus a few more.
