“Our family ski trip to Lake Tahoe was nothing short of magical! We stayed at the stunning Heller Haus and were joined by our entire family: my wife, daughter, son-in-law, son and his girlfriend, and our two grandchildren (ages 5 and 7).From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. “This hotel is exactly what you’d expect for being the least expensive in town. Exterior of the building is run down. Pool is drained, old plaster and unusable. Interior of the rooms are good and fairly clean. Showers, refrigerators and TV’s all work, as does the free WiFi. Not the place to impress your honey, but certainly a reasonably priced option if all you are going to do is crash for a night. ”

“Generally great. Only two issues we had were that parking our vehicle was a challenge due to the skinny lot. If you have a larger vehicle you may struggle a bit parking. We also had an issue where housekeeping thought we were checking out a day earlier and woke us up knocking. Was resolved quickly but unfortunate.”

“This property is old and very dated. The room did include a microwave and fridge. The listing was clear that there was no air conditioning, but the room had a box fan which worked well. We were able to view the room before we were charged, which was nice. The price was reasonable for North Lake Tahoe. ”

“Overall we had a pretty good stay. We really like the area. The beach is right across the street and nice and quiet. There are three main things needed to make a hotel good. Clean, safe, good bed. The first two delivered…the bed however was too firm. My German friends would love it, not me nor my hubby. The showers had endless hot water. The ice machine had lovely ice like Sonic. The pool was waaaay too warm. It was like swimming in a hot spring. The check in was fairly easy. It was rather odd……

"The hotel was not what I expected. The building and rooms felt outdated, and the overall cleanliness left much to be desired. The atmosphere was a bit uncomfortable, and I didn’t feel very relaxed during my stay. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a satisfying experience."
