Parking is off-street behind the main house, at the foot of the stairs to the private apartment, easily accessible and safe. Travel to Boston is available by commuter rail (purple line) Melrose Highlands 1 mile away. There are many walking, biking, hiking, and boating, options nearby. The owners are accessible if needed.”

“Beautiful old home! Great neighborhood! The close proximity to Boston allowed us to pack a lot of adventure into 3 days. Close to the train station and the T was easy to navigate. This house was so nice and comfortable to come home to every evening. The kitchen had everything we needed. The deck was a lovely place to hang out, we celebrated our last evening of vacation on the deck with cannolis from Mike’s Pastry.”

“I really like the location and having our own home that was historic and quaint. 2 pianos, which were both enjoyed. Staying here , you connect with the locals. You feel part of the area- not a tourist. True immersion experience. Friendly area. Park and no need to drive. Walk everywhere for everything. Groceries , dining. Views. “Great location in Marblehead with close proximity to beautiful coastline and good restaurants. Check out the Marblehead Pizza House of Pizza or the G Bar and Kitchen for great food. “The house is very well equipped and comfortable. There is no living room, so if you are wanting to watch a family movie or play video games or something--- not a great house for that. “My family of four had a lovely stay here. The home is comfortable and clean, well appointed, and perfectly located. We were able to walk to restaurants, shopping, and attractions. Our host was very responsive and helpful. When in Salem, we will want to stay here again. Highly recommend! (excellent book selection as well!)”

“Neighborhood felt safe and off street parking for two cars was great! Not enough towels in bathrooms or kitchen and oven took an eternity to preheat. Sofa bed in basement does not fold down, so only able to sleep one person. Location is just short of two miles from MBTA stop, so you'll want to plan accordingly. We didn't spend a ton of time at the house, but it served its purpose as a place to sleep when spending time in Boston over a long weekend!”

“We loved staying in this historic house — a rare treat! Our whole group, and the family who visited us, were so intrigued by the beamed ceilings, the wide floorboards, and the fireplaces. The location is excellent, very convenient for restaurants and site-seeing in Salem and surrounding towns. Our host was very responsive and super pleasant. I’d stay there again! It was an adventure. ”

“Loved the location of this property! Self check-in was smooth, as was using the parking pass for the nearby South Harbor Garage. My only complaint was the noise-level: the walls were very thin and it's a shared building, so there were times it sounded like someone was actually in the apartment (when they were just in the next apartment over).”

“Cute 2 bedroom, I liked the Halloween theme for my daughter. Parking is tight but doable, we had a small suv. Very tiny bathrooms but we made it work. ”
