“Easy to find and near a lot of hiking and boating activities. Inside was clean but musty. Outside could use a cleanup. Overall it met our needs.”

“Communication with Julie was great from day one of booking. She reached out to see how we wanted the rooms set up and made sure everything was exactly how we wanted it when we arrived. She even sent directions on how to get there and told us to save them in case of spotty cell service (and this definitely came in handy!!). The house was clean and in a great remote location but also a great spot as a central point for all of the waterfall chasing we did. This is where Julie really shined and came……

“This property was a very luxurious and satisfying way to enjoy the Munising / Pictured Rocks area attractions. We spent a really enjoyable week here and couldn’t have asked for a better location or amenities from our lodging. The luxury of having two full bathrooms (even though there were only two of us!) was a real plus! And all the other features of this home were also greatly appreciated - a very nice and accessible garage, a delightful back yard / patio area with lots of grilling and seating……

“The house accomodated 6 adults nicely. Direct access to the snowmobile trail and casino. Would stay again if in the area.”

“House had all the amenities we needed. It was clean and comfortable. We had two families, so the separate “wings” of bedrooms/bathrooms were nice. Town is very small but close to Munising. It’s a great home base for Pictured Rock hikes. Would stay again!”

“My family and I stayed at La Casita for a long weekend to celebrate our anniversary. When we arrived Lisa had left a delicious loaf of local bread and jam as a anniversary gift! Thank you again! “We had a great stay! The location was very convenient for visiting many area attractions including several waterfalls, Miner's Beach, Pictured Rocks boat tours, and downtown Munising. “The house was perfect for our group of 5. Check in was super easy and everything went smoothly. The kids had fun with the games and the downstairs was nice for relaxing at night. Location was really good with the lake in walking distance and close to all the area attractions. Danielle was an amazing host and super responsive, she even came over our first day and helped show us how to open up the heated pool. Would definitely stay again if we visit the area. ”

“Our family loved our getaway to Santa’s Shack whole house! There were seven of us, and we all had our own bed with plenty of space to hang out as a large group or individually. The house was fully equipped to meet all of our needs, and the hot tub was a great addition! It was easy to find, and located with quick convenient access to restaurants, waterfalls, hiking trails, and the casino. We would definitely stay here again. "The first night I was arranged to stay behind the elevator, which made me feel uncomfortable and vibrated. Because it was a standard double room with two beds, it was better for me to sleep in the other bed. Since I had placed two reservations, the girl at the front desk said that I had to move to the room downstairs for the second night. I said it was inconvenient, and she said there was no other way because the room was fully booked. The next day I asked another woman if I could not move to the first floor, and she said yes. I checked and found that the room rate I paid to Expedia for the second night was more expensive than the first night. Why did the hotel move me to a pet-friendly room on the first floor? It would be very inconvenient for me to move back and forth, which would affect my schedule."
