“This was our first trip to the UP and with 3 kids and a large dog, we don’t travel light. “We loved staying at this location. It was convenient to so many activities. We had a group of 8 adults and 4 children and this house was perfect. “Very remote house offering quiet getaway. No A/C was a challenge as the weather for August was much warmer than usual. However, that was the only negative. The house is beautiful, easily slept 4 adults and 2 kids, the private lake was filled with small mouth bass to catch & release, the beds were nice and firm, kitchen was filled with everything you need to cook, wifi was strong. "The first night I was arranged to stay behind the elevator, which made me feel uncomfortable and vibrated. Because it was a standard double room with two beds, it was better for me to sleep in the other bed. Since I had placed two reservations, the girl at the front desk said that I had to move to the room downstairs for the second night. I said it was inconvenient, and she said there was no other way because the room was fully booked. The next day I asked another woman if I could not move to the first floor, and she said yes. I checked and found that the room rate I paid to Expedia for the second night was more expensive than the first night. Why did the hotel move me to a pet-friendly room on the first floor? It would be very inconvenient for me to move back and forth, which would affect my schedule."
