“Simply superb! This traditional B&B, for me, was perfect. Louise met me at the door with a warm smile and showed me to my, quaint, comfortable room. The brass-rail bed was super comfortable and my breakfast was cooked excellently by Peter, the other half of this welcoming (and hardworking) couple. “Lovely clean and well maintained room. Staff very friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. Breakfast was just continental (toast and jam/nutella, cereal, fruit and flavoured yoghurts) but as I'm diabetic they went out shopping and got me plain yoghurts and marmite for low sugar options.”

“My daughter and I stayed for 1 night as we were attending performances at the nearby theatre. The hotel was lovely and we were lucky enough to have what a couple of the staff described as the 'best room'. The room was clean and spacious, the bed was a little soft for my liking, although still comfortable. All staff we encountered were wonderful, so friendly and helpful. The small amount of food we had was a hit, especially with my daughter! We would definitely stay here again. ”

“Great stay at Darwin Townhouse. We stayed in one of the garden rooms which was lovely. It had all the amenities needed eg hair dryer, iron, kettle etc. crisp clean sheets and comfy bed. The garden was lovely with seating areas for the nice weather. We bought a bottle of wine from the nearby wine shop and sat on in the garden one night. The breakfast was lovely and plentiful, as was the food at the Loopy Shrew (discounted if you stay in their property). Staff were lovey. The building is just a……

“We loved our stay at this property. We had dinner in the pub and the food was delicious and very generous portions, friendly staff and a room with pool table, darts and games for children. Room was large, comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was amazing! You preorder the night before and can select as many items as you want from an extensive list!! Would highly recommend and would stay again if ever in the area again. ”

“My son and I spent a week here. The staff were top notch. The highlight of the stay was dining at the restaurant everyday. The food was incredible. Although Shrewsbury has many fine places to dine, we found ourselves returning daily to try something new from the menu. ”

“Very good value! Large room in historic pub. Building is full of character with wonky beams and creaky floor boards, and our room had an incredible four poster bed. Everything was clean and linens were all good quality. Bathroom could use some minor retouching but was perfectly acceptable. We stayed in the peak of summer (30 degree days) and did find it was very hot and there was no fan in the room. Trade off between having the windows open to help cool off which also let in a fair amount of……
