“Stay here was good”

“The staff here are amazing. They are friendly, helpful and thoughtful. A buddy and I were outside smoking cigars by the water when a person, possibly an owner, came across the parking lot to speak with us. We assumed that we were going to be asked to go back inside as it was kind of late. To our surprise, he asked us if we would like some wood for the fire pit. He proceeded to get wood and started a fire for us so we could continue to enjoy the evening and our cigars. Thank you to the gentleman!”

“I loved that the bowling alley and laser tag were connected to our hotel and we got a pass to bowl for free all weekend! They even gave complimentary craft beers! The only thing that I didn’t love was going through the thirsty pony for service, if you have an issue and the restaurant is busy you’re waiting to talk to hospitality. Other than that we will return! ”

“The positives: wonderfully renovated large classic old home. We stayed in the large downstairs adjoining rooms (units C&D). My sister-in-law was joining my wife and I to see their family in Sandusky. Room(s) were beautiful. Beds were comfortable. Nice little kitchen; had a washer/dryer. Price was good. The negatives (quirks): There's no staff; it's all automated. We stayed there in January 2025 and there was snow and ice, and no one to shovel the snow or sweep off the stairs or walkways -……

“The hotel is lovely—very unique and nicely furnished. My only complaint is the pet fees—we were told that we needed to pay $25/day/pet. That’s totally reasonable. When we checked in however, we were told there was an additional $75/per dog non-refundable deposit, that meant we paid $200just for our dogs!! That’s almost the cost of the room. Note to pet owners be very specific when asking about pet fees!!”
