“I was in the area for the 250th anniversary of the Green Mountain Boys' assault on Fort Ticonderoga and stayed for two nights at "Camp Howard".I had the best time, it's a really cute yet very spacious cottage, remote and yet easily accessible along a private road.It was truly refreshing to not have cell service, it took me a few hours before I truly relaxed.There is a river down below the back of the cottage and I fell asleep at night hearing the noise of the water.Great property in a wonderful……

“Cute cabin. Very private. Well equipped. Owner responded to messages fairly quickly. Floor clean, kitchen clean, linens clean, toilet clean; Lot's of owner's stuff tucked in corners, fridge/ freezer had a lot of owner's items in it, cabin has a musty smell, wood smoke smell (sorta to be expected), very dusty: furniture surfaces, under furniture, corners, a lot of dog hair, (dog blankets on the sofa w/ hair on it, 2 baby mattresses in the master bedroom around the bed w/ dog hair on it, cushion……

“This little cabin nails it. Charming log-cabin decor with two comfortable beds in lofts. You can look out the skylights to the trees (and the stars) while lying in bed. The kitchen has everything you need - perhaps not ideal for cooking huge meals but great for breakfast and other basic meals. The fireplace and wood stove are huge bonuses, and Jill and John keep it stocked with everything you need to build a fire. There's no television, which we saw as a huge bonus, and there is good wi-fi. It's……

“We loved the experience of staying at a small cabin near Sunday River! The place was clean and had everything you needed. There were 43 electric outlets for such a small place! We want to come back again during the Summer.”

“This place is spectacular! The views of the lake are better than the photos and change throughout the day with changing conditions. We saw a bald eagle fly by twice!! The house is small but very cozy with a comfy living room and lovely gas fireplace. It has a great sunroom overlooking the lake, nice little yard with picnic table and a dock. The kitchen was well equipped. We would definitely like to come back. Just a note.. bring drinking water as the tap water is not okay to drink but was……

“Overall we had a great stay. The lake was beautiful and the house was great for our group. The only negatives were that the road leading to the property is probably not possible for anything besides an SUV or truck. I feel like this was explained in a level of detail that did not do it justice. The only other downside was that the beds were quite uncomfortable. Other than that we had a great time and the home more than accommodated our group!”

“Great location for our recent friends get together! The outdoor area was perfect with plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the heated pool, hot tub, and fire pit. The cabins were perfect for what we needed, cozy but the kitchens had everything we needed. Everyone commented how these were perfect for the event! Definitely recommend!”

“Thank you for sharing your amazing home with us! After a period of personal crisis, getting away, far away into the woods!!, was exactly what I needed. We loved eating on the deck. The cabin was spotless. It has everything you could need. A few items for potential guests: the cabin is up several stairs. Once you are in it, it’s fine, but I know my mom would not be able to make it up and my daughter who recently had knee surgery had to take it slow. You’d want 4pm if you came in any colder……
