“Had a wonderful and relaxing evening and breakfast at Sutherland. Very much enjoyed the group setting for breakfast and meeting the other guests. The cook did a really great job rearranging to accommodate a couple that accidentally forgot to book breakfast and the meal was delicious. “Steph was a great host and her breakfasts were amazing. Very laid back and comfortable atmosphere and we appreciated the conversation with Steph during breakfast. We were in the area to see Mama Mia at the Landmark Theater in Syracuse, so it was a short stay for us. However, the Finger Lakes Region is great area with plenty to do during seasonal times Thank you Steph for a great stay!”

“We discovered our new go to place to stay in Canandaigua! We visit often to see family and often have a hard time finding a nice place to rest our head that is close to family, nice and affordable. “Our stay at Waters Edge in the Seneca Room was a 5 star experience. The room was clean and comfortable. The unobstructed view of the lake is the best part. A close second is the breakfast. There were several options on the menu we could choose from on the night before. It’s a beautiful, serene place tucked away off the main road but just minutes from the downtown restaurants. Two thumbs up to Karen and her husband for curating the perfect place. We would highly recommend staying here.”

“ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL PLACE!”

“We had difficulty finding the place but after that things were fine. I think the host was annoyed that we were running late getting there but I was requested to let her know when we were 15 minutes out which I did - unfortunately we had to drive around for about an extra 5 - 10 minutes because we couldn't locate the place. “Had a great weekend trip to the finger lakes and the cottage was a big part of why. Awesome location, great views of Seneca lake from inside the house and off the private dock. Backyard was a pleasant spot to hang out with the hot tub and fire pit. Overall great experience and highly recommend staying here. Has everything you’re looking for in a clean comfortable interiors with great outdoor amenities. ”

The blanket is very smelly

"The room I booked is a lake view room. The view of the room is very good and the room is big enough, BUT,,,,, The blanket on the bed may NOT have been changed for a long time. The very bad smell made me unable to sleep all night. I strongly suggest that the management can quickly check every room, don't let this problem affect the reputation of the Hamptom Inn."
