Check-in time was supposed to be 3 PM, but when we arrived at 4 PM, we saw a large group of guests waiting around, many of them complaining about the delay. We didn’t get our room keys until 5 PM. I went to the bathroom and found used toilet paper still in the toilet bowl, a dirty towel with horrible stains, and another wet towel hanging there. Even the trash bin was full of waste from previous guests! At this point, it was clear that the room hadn’t even been cleaned before we checked in. Frustrated, we went to the reception to speak with the Duty Manager, Shamina. While we were complaining, another couple came up to her, questioning if this was really a Banyan Tree resort. Everywhere we looked, guests were angry and complaining, but I honestly think our case was one of the worst. "
