“The images on the Hotels.com did not reflect the cottage we were allocated and it was not clear that we would be sharing a kitchen. We had a private bathroom but had to go through the shared kitchen to reach it. So whilst it was clean and comfortable, we were put off by sharing facilities. “My wife and I stayed overnight to meet up with family and have a meal together. The room was lovely, clean, and welcoming. Bathroom was modern and clean with good shower. “I arrived at the Chantry Hotel just after midday. The proprietor was happy for me to check-in straight away. He was also happy for me to leave my car there for a couple of hours after I’d checked out the following morning. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was first class. My room was on the second floor - the second set of stairs was a little narrow but fortunately I didn’t have much luggage for my overnight stay so it wasn’t a problem for me.
