“We were looking for a quiet, out in the country place to celebrate our anniversary and came across this quaint cabin just outside Monterey, VA. The cabin is cozy, and it worked well for just the two of us. We took advantage of the hot tub which was very well maintained. We also lit up the firepit on another evening while watching the moon rise over the hills. The cabin is just a few minutes from Monterey (which sits in the valley just below the cabin.) Monterey is a small but interesting town……

“We have enjoyed vacationing in Monterey for over 30 years. We have stayed in a variety of great places over the years but this beautiful, peaceful, heaven-on-earth cabin is our favorite! Everything was just perfect. We look forward to spending more time here next year. Thank you Bud for the best Bible study retreat we could have possibly had. “Lynne and Buddy were amazing hosts! Everything was wonderful and they were so so helpful and accomdating. From the pictures, to the cooler and ice, even their generator lol. They even took us out on their pontoon boat! The view was amazing where we stayed. I booked it just for that reason, the mtns and the sunset. Def recommend! You guys rock! this place!”

“This little rustic cabin was warm and inviting. Had most of everything you'd need. It is very secluded right on the Crab Run stream which was rolling while we were there from all of the rain. When you walked out on the lovely covered porch it always sounded like rain even if it wasn't raining due to the rolling stream. What a relaxing sound with your morning coffee on the porch. The gas wood stove made it nice and toasty inside and the large fire pit was wonderful for relaxing outside. All……

“We had a very comfortable stay at Cottage on Craig Creek. The cabin had all the amenities we needed plus more. Inside and outside. The all window room has a beautiful view of the creek. The area is serene.”

We wanted some time away and to not be bothered, a chance to spend time with each other. Audrey was great and made us feel very welcome. We plan to stay there again, thank you so much”
