“Great place for relaxing at the lake. Plenty of room with a nice gas fireplace and outdoor fire pit. We moored our 19’ open bow boat at the dock and that worked great. Since it was September we didn't go in the lake, but I’d ask about beach usage before renting. Walkable to a couple restaurants. ”

“Our kids and grandkids all meet up with us each February to ski Gore Mt. The cabin was perfect. The kids declared the hosts “so generous!!” as they leave snacks and a hot cocoa bar. The owner was accessible and responsive. Our poodles were welcome and we did not have to worry about their safety as we were waaaay off the beaten path! ”

“A spacious house in a good location, 30 minutes from trailheads in Keene valley and 10 minutes from shops in Schroon. Paradox Lake is great for swimming, kayaking, and fishing; lots of wildlife--loons, heron, beaver, deer, heron, and even an eagle sighting. Comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen, good wifi (even by the beach). Host was very responsive. Only significant negatives were the lack of an outdoor shower or hose to clean off sandy children and no lake-side access to the house.”

Gorgeous views of the Hudson River made it fun and comfortable to gather at the dining table. Comfy beds with AC in two rooms. The night air was great, as was the hot tub.”

“If you can believe it, the pictures do not do this place justice. It is an excellent property. Super welcoming and cozy with lots of space to accommodate everyone. My parents own a house down the lake so we mainly used this space for sleeping only but we had some teenagers with us and I didn't hear a thing while they stayed up late and I retreated to the upstairs area. “The River Beds Lodge was perfect for our group of eleven (3 couples and 5 kids, ages 8--13). The location was perfect -- right next door to ARO river guides rafting company, which is also owned by the same folks. Our group had an amazing experience rafting with them one day, and we stayed a third night to allow us to spend a day at Great Escape nearby.
