“My wife and I spent some time here during our honeymoon and it surely made it a trip to remember. Everything about this experience was unique in its own regard and we left with plenty of awesome stories to tell. From the ferry to the furry welcoming committee, other kind guests we met staying on the island to the awesome and extremely helpful hosts, this was an incredible experience we recommend to anyone who enjoys the outdoors. “What a great experience, we traveled through Maine and this was our favorite stop. Kent is kind and fabulous. Beds were great, the remote living was a dream. We chose to canoe in and that was the right call! Our stuff arrived on a boat. We saw lots of birds turtles and a bald eagle! It was awesome.”

“We stayed at the Octagon it was a beautiful place. The scenery was just beautifu. Fishing was great. Kent and Heather were amazing hosts. They have you set up for everything. Can't wait to go back. ”

“We had two adults, two teens and one very active dog. Guess who was NOT thrilled with the no-plumbing no-electricity situation?!? But that’s the point- reconnect with nature and slow down. We even got them off their phones for a while. (Although internet is strong! Totally remote workable) The island is beautiful and serene and clean. “We brought our own motor boat easy to access from public launch. Live locally just brought truck trailer back home. Had our own private dock which was great! Site was clean and completely set up to relax! Even firepit had been prepped w wood! From silverware to fresh water of plenty, to bedding, med kit, bug spray, charged batteries for fan/ lantern. The shared outhouse was very clean as well. The only tweak I would suggest is to have extra toulet paper in holder in bathroom and have much bigger……
