“The lodge had more than enough space for our family of 17 plus a small pup. Not a 5-star hotel but it had everything we needed to make our two-night stay comfortable and the great room had holiday decorations which was nice. The wi-fi was spotty at times but that was expected given the location. Our favorite parts were the amazing mountain views and the proximity to Yosemite National Park. “Wanted a different birthday getaway for my husband. This place checked all the boxes. A log cabin house on a knoll in the middle of the California farm belt. Cows mooing in the morning and brilliant sunset in the evening. 360 degree views of farms, mountains and lakes. Close to fishing (we did-Modesto Reservoir), Yosemite (we did) and gold country (we did). “We fell in love with this rental. If you’re comfortable with a 20 minute “dirt” road drive and are looking for a secluded getaway, this place is for you! (On the highways in and out of the area, chains will likely be needed if expecting snow) The house had plenty of rooms and bathrooms for our party of 7.
