“Besides being asked “who are you, what room are you staying in”- (in Italian- fortunately I speak it) by a rude member of staff (the only problem I had here), the place, the restaurant, the beach, the view was worth the belittlement. It was the last stretch of our trip after my Uncle’s funeral in Genoa, and I truly wish I wasn’t made to feel unwelcome for the day but again, it was a dream besides that. It’s an old-school hotel where you leave the key at the front desk rather than take it out with you, unless you’re returning after midnight.
