“This is a very basic “motel” type of property. Our room overlooked the parking lot with our window directly in front of a parked car We asked to be moved and got a room on the back side facing some greenery but had a passageway for staff hauling noisy laundry carts right outside the window. Hallway rugs are tired and worn. Atmosphere was institutional and soulless. Location is off a round about in the middle of nowhere with poor signage to find the property. Small strip malls nearby and out……
“we loved the red lion. The staff was so helpful and courteous. The continental breakfast was much more… The bar was great! Our room was charming… We couldn’t ask for more in a hotel with great access to Avebury and the Cotswald.”
“Pleasant stay, very lovely and friendly staff. Only downside was glass bins being emptied outside my window in the morning. Amazing food in the evening.”
“Only stayed for one night so didn't have a chance to properly experience the hotel. The grounds are beautiful and the pool looked amazing - sadly I didn't get a chance to go in! Breakfast was good too ”
“We stayed at Whitley Coach House to spend a few days in the area before attending a wedding in Frome. Tim and Ginny’s communication was excellent, and they were even kind enough to provide a travel cot last minute as we had ordered one ourselves that we didn’t think would come in time (although it did in the end).
The coach house itself was spacious enough for the three of us, with everything one might need for a few days away. ”
“The hotel is very clean, nice and beautiful. They have a big, nice garden and is well managed. It gives you a pleasant environment that you relax and can walk around enjoying the atmosphere. The staff are nice and professional. The gardener even has time to introduce me to the plant I am interested in. This shows how a professional team they are. ”
“People are first rate. The Manor has fabulous decor with amazing antiques, wonderful vintage pictures and unique artwork. A real joy to behold.
As for the food, IT WAS AWESOME!!!
