“The place is lovely and me and my lady enjoyed it. The only issue I had was the bed, it was not that comfortable, same goes to the pillows, they where big. Oh and board needs some attention because when you walk inside the tent your partner got to wake up because they squicky. But nevertheless I enjoyed it, even proposed and she said yes”

“I have not left a review for anything in a long time, but AM Lodge absolutley deserves a great review. I read a couple of previous reviews that made me hesitant, but the record needs to be set straight. I stayed Mar 14 - March 16 of 2025 and it could not have been a better experience. I was first greeted at checkin by Raydene, Chris, and Musa. They had a non alcoholic mixed drink ready and waiting for me, a hot towel, and Raydene began explaining the structure of the lodge. “We enjoyed our stay at this property however there were a couple of issues. When we tried to check in, we were told they had no record of our reservation via Expedia, so confirm before you arrive. Luckily the manager was home and we were able to stay there because there were rooms available. The rooms were nicely decorated and there was a pretty garden. There was some construction in the neighbourhood which was a bit noisy until 9pm. overall great value for money and we enjoyed our stay. ”

“The Blyde Mountain Country House is set back off the main roads, and quite peaceful, charming and very welcoming. Bets (short for Elizabeth) surprised us with an upgrade, and the cottage room was delightful. It was spacious with a small kitchenette and adequate size bathroom including a walk in shower and built in shower bench. We really enjoyed the hot water and water pressure!
