“More difficult to get to since hwy. 58 closed at Damascus. Pretty drive taking the long way. Too bad the Virginia creeper trail closed, I was able to go down until the first washed out bridge at green cove. Enjoyed the quiet stay.”

“Perfect place to let hour hair down and relax, close proximity to Grayson Highlands. Don't be like us and wait until last minute to fill up on gas! As two females traveling, we felt safe and comfortable. Lovely home. Thank you for sharing with us. ”

“Everything was great! We never did manage to ride our bikes all the way up Vails Mill Rd., but was able to ride once we got closer to the top. Proximity to Creeper Trail was a bonus. The trip from Abingdon to Damascus is an awesome ride or just the ride to Alvarado Station and back is great. Ride in to town, look and shop and come back to the cabin and grill burgers. Burgers on a charcoal grill in the mountains taste better that you can ever imagine! As awesome trip in an awesome cabin. Life is……

“The cottage was just as the pictures, super clean and so nice! We enjoyed spending lots of time on the deck taking in the amazing view! The rain even held off so that we could make the most of our outside time. The bed was ao comfortable and we loved having all the necessities there for us. We want to come back soon!”

“The cabin was a great place to spend our anniversary weekend. Easy access to Hungry Mother SP for hiking. Super comfy bed and the hot tub has an awesome set up under the trees. The whole cabin site was fantastic!”

“This house was amazing! It was the best cabin I have ever stayed in. The location was secluded on the river. You really never have to leave the house with all of the amenities provided. Fireplace, game room, hot tub, hammock. And the adoreable town of West Jefferson is only around 18 minutes away. We went to Grayson Hoghlands 30 minutes away for a hike and saw the wild ponies. Wonderful stay”

“Rental had a great location, was clean and well equipped. Owner was quick with communication and friendly. The only con we had on our trip was it is an apartment so if you do not have considerate people staying above you, it makes for some frustrating moments. Even with earplugs and sound machines on we could hear the thudding from the above neighbors and from the beach access gate slamming. So just something to think about if you’re a light sleeper. But other than that, had a wonderful weeks……

“My husband and I stayed two nights in the cabin while in the area for the Grayson Highlands 50-mile trail race. The cabin was so cute and cozy, clean, just as pictured. Incredible mountain views from the front porch and the hot tub, both of which proved key to my recovery the following morning! We cannot have had a more pleasant day, and would return here in a heartbeat when able. Such a gem. Thanks to the hosts for making it available.”
