“We rented the house for a brother’s weekend getaway. Steve was very accessible re: communication (access codes, how to use amenities on property, etc). The location is excellent, the property is well-maintained & well-stocked…kitchen appliances, cooking utensils, plenty of bedding, even fire starters & seasoned firewood for the outdoor fire pit are on-site. “The home is a decent distance off the highway but the scenery you'll see while driving to it are gorgeous. On the first day, we saw 3 deer and 2 rabbits! “Very cute cabin close to Sparta. Location was great. Despite other reviews my GPS found this place with no problem. Aside from low stock of paper goods (which really wasn't an issue as we got more in town) it was great. Yes floors are creaky. It’s an old house. It is part of the charm. “Loved the location and front porch. Our son brought his guitar and we sat on the porch watching bikers and walkers on the Creeper Trail. We stayed in late March, just as restaurants and businesses were opening for hiker season. This is such a friendly town. We love it for our family spring break trips. “This was an awesome little cabin right at the base of Mt. Rodgers. The cabin was super clean and exactly what I needed for this short trip.
