Everything about our stay was perfect. Ken was the ultimate communicator, so friendly, accommodating, and available for any questions. “Willet Ponds Farm was a wonderful place to stay. We stayed in the Willet Nest property which was perfect for our stay. Hubby and I stayed in the main house and our 17 year old daughter loved her own space in the bunk house/small cabin. Walton who runs the farm was great with communicating when animal feedings would happen. We had a blast interacting with the chickens, donkeys, horses and bunnies. Close to town with other fun nearby locations to visit. - The town is nice and feels like Mayberry. - There are nice state parks that run along the river all the way to the Virginia border with hikes to the nearby mountains and rivers which my kids (8 and 12) loved doing. - The river also has public access pretty close to town which was clearly a local watering hole which I preferred to an ocean beach.
