“Very cute cabin close to Sparta. Location was great. Despite other reviews my GPS found this place with no problem. Aside from low stock of paper goods (which really wasn't an issue as we got more in town) it was great. Yes floors are creaky. It’s an old house. It is part of the charm. “My family and I stayed at Willet Nest for a long weekend. Walton is a kind host and he was great with the kids, answering questions and teaching them new skills. Our 4 year old was minimally interested in chores, but there was a little playhouse by the barn that he really enjoyed. We also went for a walk around the Faerie Village with Piper (the collie) while the older ones and my husband learned to build a holzhausen. “Upon arrival a few minutes before 4 PM, we were surprised to find the driveway completely covered in thick snow, despite the surrounding roads and other driveways being clear. With both an AWD and a 4x4 vehicle, we still struggled to get traction and ended up sliding down. Our family had to manually shovel and sand the driveway just to attempt access.To make matters worse, when some family tried to enter the cabin at check-in time, the entry code didn’t work.
