“My family and I travel to the mountains every year for spring break. And I can honestly say this location had the best view of any we have seen! The house is huge. It’s a combination of old country home (used to belong to a coal barron) with a splash of modern. Hot tub fits 5 comfortably and also comes with a view. Would recommend for anyone looking to stay close to hiking trails and Mountain views. ”

“Plenty of space for everyone to spread out and have downtime, and plenty of community space for everyone to come together to eat and hang out together. Gameroom was a big hit for everyone, from grandma to teenagers. Everything was super comfortable and when we had any questions, the hosts were incredibly responsive. Loved it!!”

“Very welcoming when you stepped into the house. Thoughtful arrangements (we love the game room, and those information flyers and maps under the TV). The house is beside Route 19 but in a quiet neighborhood. You can walk to the New Gorge River bridge (i.e., on Bridge Day) or you can drive for 5 mins. Very close to multiple restaurants and a gas station. Short drive to Long Point trailhead as well. Overall, very satisfied with our stay and highly recommended.”

The house was very well equipped with everything we needed. We really appreciated the welcome bag, with snacks and water for all four of us. “A great way to visit the area. My husband fished on the pond every night and my son hiked up the property's trail to view the sunrise. Easy to access and not far from many Natl Park trails. Our hosts were very communicative and helpful. I hope to visit again.”

“The house was very spacious. We had 6 adults and 2 toddlers and never felt crowded.Location was excellent minutes from hikes, restaurants and adventures.Highly recommend for large families,3 different living spaces to spread out.If back in the area will definitely stay here again.”

“We stayed with our 2 young kids and dog and came to explore the New River Gorge National Park. The location was perfect and close to the Gorge, visitor center, and minutes from the Endless Wall Trail! We enjoyed a fire in the fire pit and watching the sun set from the property. The kitchen was well equipped and had a very nice gas range! We had a great stay and the Gorge offered spectacular views from the trails and overlooks.”

“We loved staying here and plan to book again in the future! It was so spacious for our family and the furniture (couches and beds) were super comfy. The shower water pressure and heat temperature was amazing in the main bathroom. The kitchen and all of the appliances were awesome. My kids had fun playing the games. It was too cold for us to enjoy the yard but that looked like a great place to relax and hang out. The owner was very nice and quick to respond when we sent him a message. I have……

“The property is very conveniently located to hiking trails. Parking is a bit difficult if you have a large car. I had to back out of the driveway when there was another car parked on the property. Overall, the property was clean, but the carpet is overdue for replacement, due to age and stains.. I did get a nail in my heel from the transition piece between the dining room and the kitchen. That needs attention.”
