“In an attempt to beat all the tourists to Plitvice Lakes, we decided to drive up the night before and stay at the Plitvica Lodge so we would be one of the first to the park when the park opened at 7am. Hotels.com has the hotel listed at the incorrect address (Plitvice Selo 71/3 did not route correctly) so we got lost at 10pm - basically in the middle of nowhere - and thankfully had an international phone plan to call for directions, but roads are not well marked. The room was comfortable and……

“The room is tidy, neat and decent. Tin, the only staff member of the hotel, is efficient, friendly, helpful and nice. However, the description on the website that the hotel is 12-minute walk away from Entrance 2 and 21-minute walk from Entrance 1 of the Plitvice National Park is false. It is actually far away from entrances. We had to hire a taxi (200 kuna per ride) to reach the hotel after getting off the bus, and then from hotel to Plitvice next day. Not recommended for those traveling……
