“We were only here for one night and the weather was too chilly to take a dip in the pool. Parking was close to the guest house/pool. Nicely decorated but it’s small. Fortunately lots of outdoor space! Bed was very comfortable. Nice towels and many toiletries provided. Perfect location if you are looking to tour the Redwoods. Two things that kept me from giving 5 star rating were: there was old coffee(how old?) in the pot and the refrigerator is located outside of the unit and it wasn’t clean.”

“I first stayed at the Ginger bread house in the 80ies not long after it became a B&B. It is just as wonderful now as it was then. From tea time to the stroll in the garden is was a magical stay. The one draw back was booking through VRBO. I was not able to contact the hostess directly and wasn't sure how to check in. It is best to make reservations by directly calling them. “Property was nice, beds were conforms, all amenities were there. Would have liked to have a way to cook the rooms down, there was a heater in the master but no fan. The only other was i wish there was a BBQ to enjoy with the weather, but i understand the liability. Easy access to the highway, not far from Ferndale or Eureka. Bear River Casino just down the highway of you want a little gambling. Would definitely stay there again when back in the area. ”
