“The property was wonderful. The owner was very nice and friendly. We loved the views of the lake with the snow. The only disappointing part was that the fireplace was not functional. We chose this property specifically for the lake view and the cozy feel of the heat flames from the fireplace. ”

“The little cabin was so cute, well maintained and offered everything for cooking. The outdoor dining and grill area is perfect. Check in was as easy as driving in and parking. We arrived when it was very hot but all the windows opened to a wonderful lake breeze. There was good fishing right off the dock and plenty of lake to explore with the kayaks. Not too far into town we found a public beach for swimming, a place to rent a boat and a bar with tasty walleye and ribs. As an added bonus there……

“This was the second time we had a friend meet-up/getaway in the Gatekeepers Cottage... it is just so lovely and well appointed. The hiking trails are so nice to get out and enjoy the birds and lake views. We loved using the grill and fire pit, not amenities. You can sit and watch birds in the front porch forever. Ted & Lori are so friendly and attentive, a very warm and welcoming stay overall. ”

“This place was such a gem. The decor was beautiful and cozy, and the kitchen had everything we could’ve needed, and then some. We were honestly sad we only stayed two nights because it was just that good.The complimentary smores kit, coffee, tea, and snacks were such a thoughtful touch, and the outdoor smoker completely won us over. We used it both nights and are now seriously considering getting one for our own home.There was so much to do, both inside and out, and it made relaxing and spending……
